MATERIALS:
8oz skein Red Heart 4 ply yarn in Cherry Red, about 4oz Red Heart 4 ply yarn in the following colors: Frosty Green, Dark Plum and Lavender, H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: Block is 2” X 2”
BASIC BLOCK:
With yarn and H hook ch-4, sl st to from a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work (3 sc, ch-2) 4 times, sl st top beg sc, do not turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: Ch-3 (1 st dc), dc next 2 sts, * (dc, ch-2, dc) ch-2 sp, dc next 3 sts, * rep bet ** 3 times, rep bet () next ch-2 sp, sl st top beg ch-3, fasten off. 20 sts)
JOINING RND:
Ch-3 (1 st dc), dc next 2 sts, dc in ch-2 sp, ch-1, sl st in corresponding corner 2 nd block, ch-1, dc in sa ch-2 sp original block, * dc next 3 sts, (dc, ch-2, dc) ch-2 sp, * rep bet ** around, sl st top beg ch-3, fasten off.
