MATERIALS:
Size 10 Victory Red South Maid thread, White South Maid thread, Cream South Maid Thread, Crystal Blue J&P Coats thread, Silver\White Metallic J&P Coats thread, size 7 crochet hook, needle large enough to take thread, 2 small buttons, glue, stuffing, red and black permanent markers, ribbon for hanging ornament.
Gauge: 9 sc = 1", 10 sc rows = 1", 9 dc = 1”, 5 dc rows = 1”.
Finished ornament approx. 8 1\2” not including hat.
About the yarn I used:
I used Aunt Lydia’s size 10 crochet thread, but any size 10 crochet thread will make a good substitution, just make sure you get the exact gauge as stated in the pattern when you make a sample swatch. If your gauge is bigger than stated, go down one size in your hook. If your sample gauge is smaller than stated, go up one size in your hook.
